Jane Kelly

Jane Kelly is an Alberta artist drawing inspiration from her experiences living and working in various locations of Alberta and North Eastern B.C.  Jane spent her childhood in Jasper, later moving to a ranch in Central Alberta.  She graduated from U. of A. with a BSc. in Biology followed by a Professional Diploma in Education from U. She graduated from U. of A. with a BSc. in Biology followed by a Professional Diploma in Education from U. of C.  Since then she has attended many workshops in drawing, composition and technique. Jane is an Active Status member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has belonged to several art groups over the years where she has participated in numerous juried group shows.  Her work has won several awards, highlighted by a piece chosen by a member of parliament for their Ottawa office.  She was also pleased to create a commissioned painting for the Sandy Cross Conservation Society depicting the foothills grassland south west of Calgary.  Jane has enjoyed teaching adult community art classes and children’s enrichment art classes. Currently Jane is a member of the Battle River Art Club and is exhibiting her paintings at Route 22, an Artist’s Co-operative Gallery in Cochrane, Alberta.
